Weekly Update- Oct 21-25

YEARBOOKS FOR 2018-19

Last year’s yearbook was handed out today.  Your child should have
brought it home at the end of the day.  Please contact Mr. Larson,
if you did not receive one. We do have extra copies, if you did not
order one last year.  First come, first serve. Just send an email to
Mr. Larson. We will be placing this years’ order at a later date.

HALLOWEEN DANCE

Next Friday, Oct 25 is our Halloween Dance from 6:30-8:00 pm.
The cost is $10 per family.  You can buy your tickets online
through PowerSchool.  Thank you to the parents for putting
on this event.

DRESS FOR THE WEATHER

The weather was great this week, but may not last. We go outside
almost all of the time and it is important that students dress for
the weather.  It can be very chilly in the back field and it is
exposed to wind. Please pack mitts, toques and extra socks in
their backpack. Please connect with Mrs. Gifford, if your child
needs some warm clothes. We are happy to help.

HELPFUL HINTS

Parents, thank you for taking the time to help your child get to
school on time.  We do have some kids and families adjusting to
the new times.

Here are a couple of suggestions to help the mornings run smoother
for your family:

- You can pick out your clothes ahead of time, so that picking out
clothes in the morning and getting dressed is not a struggle.

- Packing bags or lunches the night before helps with time
management for the busy morning.

- Encouraging children to develop independence with routines or
jobs gets them actively involved in the morning routine.

- Learning how to tell time and set alarm clocks can build
independent skills.

FOOD BANK

Way to go Bellevue. We were able to collect over 300 lbs of food this
year during our food bank drive. Great work students.

SCHOOL COUNCIL AND FUNDRAISING SOCIETY

We had another great meeting this week!  The parents are working hard to be able to provide great activities for our school and support various things here at the school.  We will be looking for volunteers for a couple of activities coming up this year. They invite all families to
the Halloween Dance this upcoming week.

The school would like to thank all of our School Council and Fundraising
Society members for the time and dedication they put into our school.
We have an amazing team and we could not do many things here without
their support.

FAMILY FUN NIGHT

We are excited to be hosting a Family Wellness Night on November 7th
This night will be from 5:30-7:00 pm, here at Bellevue.  This is going to be
a really great night. The focus will be wellness and family fun.  Families
will meet here at 5:30 and will will all sit down and have something to eat.
We are then going to participate in a variety of activities together.
The activities will focus on fun, building family connections and wellness.
They will develop skills in regulation and resiliency through different
activities.  It will also be an excellent opportunity for you to meet other
families in our community.
