HALLOWEEN COSTUMES AND ACTIVITIES

We are excited for Halloween on Oct 31st and the Family Dance tonight.
We ask that parents be mindful with costumes that come to our school.
We have many young children in the building, so we ask that not overly scary,
gory and bloody costumes come to the school.  It might be best to save it for
outside of school. We also ask that all fake weapons stay at home as well.
On Halloween day, students are asked to dress up in the afternoon.  We will
have a parade in the gym at 1:20 pm. All families are welcome to join us.
Each class has their own activities planned for the rest of the afternoon.

DRESS FOR THE WEATHER

The weather was great this week, but may not last. We go outside
almost all of the time and it is important that students dress for
the weather.  It can be very chilly in the back field and it is
exposed to wind. Please pack mitts, toques and extra socks in
their backpack. Please connect with Mrs. Gifford, if your child
needs some warm clothes. We are happy to help.

HELPFUL HINTS

Parents, thank you for taking the time to help your child get to
school on time.  We do have some kids and families adjusting to
the new times.

Here are a couple of suggestions to help the mornings run smoother
for your family:

- You can pick out your clothes ahead of time, so that picking out
clothes in the morning and getting dressed is not a struggle.

- Packing bags or lunches the night before helps with time
management for the busy morning.

- Encouraging children to develop independence with routines or
jobs gets them actively involved in the morning routine.

- Learning how to tell time and set alarm clocks can build
independent skills.

FOOD BANK

Way to go Bellevue. We were able to collect over 300 lbs of food this
year during our food bank drive. Great work students.

SCHOOL COUNCIL AND FUNDRAISING SOCIETY

We had another great meeting this week!  The parents are working hard to be able to provide great activities for our school and support various things here at the school.  We will be looking for volunteers for a couple of activities coming up this year. They invite all families to
the Halloween Dance this upcoming week.

The school would like to thank all of our School Council and Fundraising
Society members for the time and dedication they put into our school.
We have an amazing team and we could not do many things here without
their support.
